Safety Management
We recognise the importance of Health and Safety. At work we promote good safety as good business. We believe the safety of all employees, contractors and the general public, as well as the avoidance of damage to property and the environment should be given a very high priority.
This concern is being reflected by not only clients and the public at large, but also in the application of tighter Irish and EU Legislative controls. For projects managers and design team members, we feel that safety must be one of the central concerns in the management of any project.
We are therefore pro-active in the field of safety and have highly experienced personnel in this area of project control.
For each project we are able to:
- Define the relevant legal duties and responsibilities.
- Develop an appropriate safety policy and safety plan for the project as required under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations, 1995.
- Identify interfaces between activities and locations, and between functions within the project team.
- Delegate co-ordination and liaison activities to members of the project team.
- Identify issues, activities and locations which could constitute a safety risk to the project.
- Assign safety responsibilities to the project team.
- Identify the resources necessary to discharge safety responsibilities.
- Develop a training strategy.
- Propose an appropriate monitoring strategy to ensure safety requirements are met.
